Our Day Treatment program combines family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy and behavioral management with special education classrooms to provide a balanced setting in which children and families can change.  The program provides the child with an individualized education while the child and family are being treated for the problem.  Parents are made an integral part of the program, participating in frequent contacts for treatment and planning purposes.  Parents receive reports in a timely fashion through daily logs, quarterly reviews, family therapy and treatment planning.  The program strives to reduce the symptoms of the child’s presenting problems so the child can reenter public school or other community situation, benefit from the education provided by that school or situation, and demonstrate continuing success in the mainstream community.

This program operates from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesdays.  Most children participate full-time, five days per week; however, some children attend less frequently while they are transitioning out of the program.  Transportation is considered a treatment function depending on the child’s transportation arrangements and the Individual Plan of Care.  It is provided for most students who reside within the North Wasco County School District in The Dalles.
