The Mid-Columbia Child & Family Center (MCCFC) has been providing education,
treatment and assistance to children with emotional problems and their families for almost 30 years. We also provide outpatient
counseling to help facilitate the emotional growth and social well-being of individuals, couples and families of all ages.
Our best known program at MCCFC is our children’s psychiatric
day treatment program. Children in this program have often been identified as having behavior problems
that interfere with adequate functioning in the home, school and/or community. These children will often
exhibit one or more of the following problems:
- School behavior management problems
- Aggressive, hostile or destructive behavior
- Below grade level
- Low frustration level
- School suspension or exclusion
- Temper tantrums
- Impulse ridden
- Inability
to form satisfactory relationships with peers and adults
- Hyperactive
- Anxious and agitated
- Withdrawn
- Disorganized and/or inadequate cognitive/verbal
skills
- Poor self-image
- Dependent, requiring constant attention
in school or home
- Unable
to function adequately in home or community setting
If this sounds like your child, please contact us to see if we can help.
